On Friday the music teacher at Tim's school organized a fantastic music festival. Although there is no instrumental program at the school, the concert gave students who practice and take lessons on an instrument a chance to perform. The theme was Mozart, but students could perform any piece they had prepared. There were pianists all the way from Kindergarten to High School Senior, one flute solo, and a good handful of violins.
In addition to the instrumental solos a short play opened the concert featuring young Wolfgang Mozart and his sister, Nannerl, coming to perform for the royal court in Salzburg. My two students played Wolfgang and Nannerl, complete with costumes, powder white hair, and violin solos!
It was fun to work on the duet together for the past couple months. Those of you who are die hard fans (Mom) you can see the video when we visit. What a great pair of students I have! And they are talented actors too!
